Beth Enson

Beth is a poet and community activist in Taos, New Mexico. Her 18 years as a practitioner and teacher of Reevaluation Counseling has translated into work on anti-racism and white privilege awareness, most recently in the co-creation of a radio program, La Cultura Cura/Culture Cures, with Margarita Garcia. As a founding member of the Heartwood Coalition she has participated in the planting of five community-based orchards, with the goal of safeguarding local food sovereignty. As an ally to local land-based communities she has written articles, worked on campaigns to preserve agricultural land, and currently serves on the Board of Agriculture Implementation Research & Education (AIRE) a local non-profit transferring traditional agricultural methods and food preservation ad preparation skills to young members of local communities. Her work as a Home Visitor for families with young children addresses the vital role of strong community support networks in countering the transmission of intergenerational and historical trauma.
