Food Traditions to "survive, resist, and mark a victory".

For those inspired by the Phlassembled Kitchen, at the conclusion of each themed kitchen menu, a workshop was offered to examine and document participants own recipes of resilience. Using prompts from the Kitchen’s writings, and details on the city panorama, participants  drew from their own food stories to discover and shared how self/family/community use food traditions to “survive, resist and mark a victory”. We workshopped and shared how/when/why these practices are interconnected to strengthen our collective resiliency.

Using a simple printing process on cloth, pre-cut patches were used to document the new content. The printed patches were then sewed by participants to a historic family table cloth modified to express the theme. Scanned images of the patches were added to the panorama as possible.
